The sites are spacious with picnic tables and propane fire pits, and the resort offers 40 one and two bedroom cabins for rent. The pool, cabana, bar/cafe, games room, and other amenities make this feel like a 5-star hotel resort. The landscaping is beautiful but new, so it has a parking lot look. The resort is pet-friendly, with two great pet areas that are well-kept. The staff are friendly and veterans receive a 20% discount. There are activities such as paddle ball, basketball, bocci, and horseshoes as well as access to the San Diego Farmers Market. The website and reservation system work flawlessly. However, the laundry room is small and you must download an app to use the machines. The bar has a limited stock and the staff are not knowledgeable. There are no rules enforced to preserve peace and quiet, and kids can be everywhere. Despite these drawbacks, this is the best park in the San Diego area and is worth the splurge for a few nights.
