From The Campground

Hammerhorn Campground is a small, rustic campground located in the Mendocino National Forest. The campground has 9 campsites, including one accessible site, and 3 bathrooms. There is access to potable water spigots and a trailer pull-through site. The location is mostly a coniferous/fir forested area with smaller deciduous trees/bushes. The campground sits a short distance above the lake, which is stocked with trout in early summer by the California Department of Fish & Wildlife. The accessible trail around the lake is about 40% complete. Please note that the campground is currently closed due to damage from the 2018 Ranch and 2020 August Complex Fires.
