Convict Lake Campground is a stunning campground located near Mammoth Lakes in the Eastern Sierra. It features beautiful scenery, paved roads and campsites, and a friendly host. This is dry camping at its finest, with spacious areas for each campsite, a picnic table, and easy access to the lake. The roads are a little tight, so larger vehicles may have difficulty navigating them, but the campground is still accessible. There is a free dump station and a store nearby, and the nearby resort has a restaurant, bar, and fully stocked store. Fishing is excellent in the lake and creek, and the nearby town of Mammoth Lakes offers plenty of supplies and activities. The campground is best enjoyed with reservations, and is ideal for smaller motorhomes, trailers, and tenters. The bathrooms are clean and modern, and the sites have plenty of grassy space. There are few trees for shade, but the campground is still comfortable. The camp hosts and manager are very friendly and helpful, and the campground is well maintained.
