Oakzanita RV Resort is a great campground located in the San Diego Mountains. It is 4,000 feet in elevation and is accessible from the south on Highway 79. The campground is great for RVers, as it has electric and water hookups, a dump station, and a honey wagon to empty tanks. It also has a pool open for 2 hours 4 times a day, mini golf, and showers in the mens and womens rooms. The access roads are narrow, hilly, and curvy, and vehicles longer than 40 feet are prohibited. Tent sites are also available, but it can get cold at night, so bring a heater if you plan to stay during the colder months. The lodge is warm and clean and has decent Wi-Fi. Cell service is also good, especially with Consumer Cellular.

Oakzanita Springs RV Campground is an age-qualified resort located in San Diego, California. The campground offers RV campsites with water and electric hookups, and a limited number of sites with sewer hookups. The campground also offers rental accommodations. All arrivals must present a valid driver’s license, photo ID, insurance (both RV and tow vehicle), and registration. All vehicles must be in good operating condition. If any of these are not current or the vehicle is not in good operating condition you will be denied entry to the property. The entrance from the south to the north is a very sharp turn, so large RVs are advised to use the large paved rest area to make a u-turn and head back south on Highway 79 for a straight entry to the campground. The campground has free WiFi available in the lodge and cell phone service if your carrier is Sprint or Verizon. The store is open Thursday through Sunday only. The pools are closed for season; however, the spa remains open year round. Pets are allowed.
