The Palm Springs / Joshua Tree KOA is a great camping site in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Check-in is a breeze, and there are clear and well-marked signs leading to the site. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. The campground is spacious and clean, with a large dog park and separate small dog parks. The cafe has great breakfast and lunch food, and the pancakes are awesome. The site is a bit windy, but the desert location is a great plus. The KOA is about 45 minutes from Joshua Tree, but its worth the visit. The Mountain views are amazing. The park offers many activities for families such as mini-golf, tram ride and kids activities. The pool and hot tub with fresh spring water were a hit. The only downsides are the weak wifi, limited market options nearby, and sometimes not very clean restrooms.
