This campground is located in a quiet, rural area, just a short drive from the attractions of Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. It offers a 24-hour hot springs pool and spa, a club house with weekly coffees, happy hours, and holiday dinners, and a dog park. The sites are narrow and separated by bushes, with dirt and deteriorating asphalt roads and tight turns. The manager is friendly and accommodating, but is operating on a shoestring budget. Unfortunately, the park has gone downhill in recent years, with the pool/spa having severe regulation problems and the gate frequently breaking down. The park has been taken over by a drug/prostitution ring, making it unlivable for decent people who want to feel safe. The pool is closed due to contamination, and the manager does not disclose this prior to arrival. The park is run down, with old and outdated trailers, a lot of trash and debris, and Riverside County Health violations for potentially lethal toxins. Despite this, the manager is a hard-working, friendly person who is willing to answer questions and provide suggestions for places to visit in the area. The natural hot springs pool and spa are enjoyable, and there is a nice garden with chairs that overlook the San Jacinto mountains.
