Lawsons Landing in Dillon Beach, CA is a nice camping spot for fishing, crabbing, clamming, and beaches. It offers a wide variety of spacious spots from pull thru to back-in, and they also allow you to get creative with your layout if you are with a group. The campground is clean and neighbors are generally respectful. Each spot has enough room, but be aware they are close to each other. Porta pottys are the restroom facilities, and while they are maintained, they can become dirty and lack toilet paper due to the high volume of campers. There is a general store on site and it’s right by the beach area where most people launch their boats, crab and fish. The weather is usually pleasant with an overcast morning and sunny afternoon, which makes it comfortable to bike ride on the nice flat roads or walk your dog on the dog-friendly beach. The only downside is the narrow road leading in and out of the campground can become chaotic with other trailers or motorhomes driving to or from Lawsons.
