The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the sites are clean and well maintained. The campground is close to the freeway, local restaurants and stores, and the park next door. The cell signal is strong for ATT, Tmobile, and Verizon. The water pressure is low, but it was not a problem for us. Open flame fires are not allowed, and there are no picnic benches. There is a train that makes a bit of noise through the night. Dixon Fairgrounds is a convenient and safe campground located just outside of the downtown area of Dixon. The RV spots are situated on a gravel parking area in the far end of the fairground, separated by a large fence and some tall trees. It is close to the freeway, local restaurants and stores, and the park next door. The staff in the office are friendly and helpful, and the sites are clean and well maintained. The sites are full hookups with tight spaces that back up to a fence and neighborhood. There are newly-planted fruit trees in between sites for added shade. The cell signal is strong for ATT, Tmobile, and Verizon, and antenna gets the main channels. Open flame fires are not allowed, and there are no picnic benches. There is a train that makes a bit of noise through the night. The price is a bit high for the basic amenities, but it is a great stopover base to work from.

From The Campground

The Dixon May Fair RV Park offers RV space rentals on a first-come, first-serve basis with no guarantee of availability. The park is open year-round, except during certain fairground events. The length of stay is limited to 2 weeks (14 consecutive days) and the amount of time a guest may stay may be less due to an event on the fairgrounds. RV access may be limited due to fairgrounds events. All RV’s/Trailers must have proof of insurance and must be a registered vehicle. The park is conveniently located near the Dixon May Fairgrounds and offers easy access to the fair and other local events.
