GenieSummary

Emma Wood State Beach Campground is a stunning beachside campground located on the Pacific Coast Highway, with incredible views of the ocean and the Channel Islands. You can park your RV right over the sand and even get ocean spray on your windows. Its a great spot for families, with lots of activities like beach walks, cycling, and building fires. There are no services or hookups, so make sure you come with a full water tank and empty grey and black tanks. There are also no showers or flushing toilets, but there are open spray showers. Its a great spot for those who enjoy the ocean, beach, and wide open blue sky. Unfortunately, there are some downsides, such as the noise from the highway and the train tracks, and there have been reports of thieves in the area. The beach on the majority of the sites is also extremely rocky, so its not ideal for playing in the sand or the water. Despite these drawbacks, its a great spot to relax and enjoy the sun, wind, and sea right on the beach.

From The Campground

Emma Wood State Beach is a popular destination for swimming, surfing, and fishing. The Ventura River estuary is located at the southeast end of the park and attracts a variety of wildlife. The park also features the ruins of a World War II coastal artillery site. The campground offers family camping for self-contained vehicles only, primitive camping for fully self-contained vehicles only, and group camping at Ventura River Group Camp. Dogs are allowed in the campground but not on the beach.
