Wrights Beach Campground is the perfect spot for tent campers and small RVs looking for a secluded beachfront experience. Located just off the Pacific Coast Highway between Bodega Bay and Jenner, the campground offers 28 reservable sites plus a few first come first serve spots, as well as a few overflow spots. Sites 1-9 are beach front and separated by thick foliage for a bit of privacy, while the other sites are just steps away from the beach and shaded by trees. There is a plethora of hiking and sightseeing opportunities both north and south of the campground, and the sound of the waves crashing at night is amazing. The campground is quite clean and pretty quiet, and there is a composting toilet and a faucet for water located by the path in. Wood is pricy, but about normal for a California State Park, and there is no dump station at the park, but campers can use the one at Bodega Dunes for free. Swimming is not recommended due to dangerous rip currents and sleeper waves, and dogs are restricted from trails. Showers are available at Bodega Dunes campground, which is about 6 miles away.
