Loon Lake Campground is located in Eldorado National Forest and offers a variety of camping options including single and double units, boat ramp camping, and group camping. The campground is open from late June to September and offers amenities such as accessible sites, picnic tables, toilets, and drinking water. Activities include camping, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, picnicking, and water activities such as boating and swimming. A California fishing permit is required for lake and pond fishing, and a permit is required for backpacking in Desolation Wilderness. Interagency Senior and Access passes are accepted for single family units.
