From The Campground
Kangaroo Lake Campground is a beautiful campground located in the Klamath National Forest. The campground is surrounded by a diverse range of plant habitats ranging from wet seeps and meadows to rock walls. The Fen Trail is a self-guided, 2 mile round trip trail with numbered sign posts along the way to identify plants and features. The campground is also a good area for riparian wildlife along the lake shore and forest birding. The lake covers 25 acres and is 110 feet deep, and is stocked with rainbow trout. Swimming, wading and water play are available off the sandy beach at Kangaroo Lake. The campground offers non-motorized boating, and all portable boats capable of being carried are allowed. The lake level remains fairly constant all season, and the water temperature stays very cold all summer.
