Tan Oak Campground is a beautiful county park located halfway between Watsonville and Gilroy on Highway 152. With a variety of camping options, including RV sites, tent sites, and yurts, there is something for everyone. The sites are all surrounded by tall redwood trees, providing plenty of shade and privacy. There are also plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails to explore, and a valley view point that makes for a great painting spot. The campground is well-maintained and clean, and the bathrooms and showers are new and spotless. The campground is usually booked up on weekends, but weekdays are normally quieter.
