Ocean Mesa is a private campground located on the north side of US 101, about 20 miles due west of downtown Santa Barbara. The grounds are beautiful, with lots of green space to run, playgrounds and a grassy area to relax. The campground offers a variety of amenities, including a swimming pool and jacuzzi, a deli and gift shop, and a connection to the El Capitan Canyon glamping resort, which offers yurts and safari tents. The campground is close to El Capitan State Beach, which is a great place to catch the sunset, and is also within a short drive of Santa Barbara, Solvang and other attractions. Sites are level and have concrete pads, and there is a no-smoking policy. The park is popular with families, and there is a Vintage Trailer rally with an Open House and party on Saturday nights. The only downside is that the sites can be quite close together and there can be noise from the nearby railroad tracks.
