From The Campground

Gold Lake 4x4 Campground is a rustic campground located at 6,400' elevation on the southwest end of Gold Lake. It includes 16 campsites with picnic tables, food lockers, fire rings, and parking. Several sites are next to the lake. The campground is suited for those craving some solitude and/or access to some great backcountry 4X4 roads. The new toilets were damaged by the 2018 snowpack and will remain closed. Visitors must pack out all solid human waste. No water or garbage service is provided. The campground is open from June to snowfall. High clearance 4-wheel drive vehicles are required to access the campground.
