From The Campground
Gold Lake Campground is a beautiful campground located along the shores of Gold Lake in Plumas National Forest. The campground offers 37 campsites, 11 of which are available for reservation. The campsites come with tables, fire rings, food lockers, and toilet facilities. Garbage service is provided, but there is no water. The campground is open during the summer season and is perfect for tent camping and RV camping. The campsites before the Gold Lake Boat Launching Facility are more easily accessed than sites along the road extending to the north. That section of the road is narrow and rough. Larger RV units should not enter that part of the campground. There are three nearby interpretive sites available, including Frazier Falls Trail, Lakes Basin Petroglyphs, and Red Fir Interpretive Trail.
