GenieSummary

Arroyo Seco Campground is a secluded sanctuary located in the Los Padres National Forest in the Salinas Valley of California. The campground offers a range of amenities such as bathrooms, potable water sources, a redwood gazebo, and a playground. The Arroyo Seco River runs close by and is a great way to cool off in the summer. There are also plenty of hiking trails and swimming holes in the gorge. The campsites are on the small side and some of them can be stacked right on top of each other, but all of them have a picnic table, firepit, and grill. There are also some more primitive campsites located above the main campground that they hold for first come/first serve campers if you cant reserve one online. The campground is well maintained and clean with clean toilets and coin operated showers. There are also issues with the drinking water, so it is best to bring your own. The campsite is dog friendly and has a long lead that can be attached to the picnic table or a tree so they can meander around the campsite but not run off. The staff is very helpful and they have items available for purchase such as ice, water, and firewood. It is a popular campground in the summer and can be a bit expensive, but it is a great getaway in nature with the perks of having facilities available.
