A campground located on the Moccasin arm of Don Pedro Lake, A Camp is a great spot for those looking to take advantage of the lakes boating and fishing opportunities. With full hookups and 30 amp service, the sites can fit 45 and are well maintained. Roads are narrow and can be hard to navigate around turns, but the campground is equipped with tables and fire rings opposite the door for most pull through sites. Bathrooms are open air, but clean, and employees come through periodically to keep everything shipshape. The campground is close to Groveland and Sonora, and not too far from Yosemite, making it a popular spot for weekend trips. However, the marina/general store is about 1.5 miles from the boat launch and 1.25 miles from the campsite, making it inconvenient for those towing boats. The campground also does not allow pets and has no view of the lake from the campsite. Despite these drawbacks, the campground is still a great spot for those looking to enjoy the outdoors.
