From The Campground
Gualala Point Regional Park offers a campground with walk-in sites located in a grove of bay trees a short distance from parking. The campground features restrooms with flush toilets, electrical outlets, and a coin-operated shower. Firewood may be available for purchase from the campground host. The park offers 2.9 miles of trails along coastal bluffs and above the Gualala River. The beach is easily reached via a paved, ADA-accessible trail that crosses meadows of tall grass and groves of gnarled cypress. Unpaved paths also cross the headlands to the beach, weaving along the cliffs and offering dramatic views of the sea and offshore rock formations. The unpaved Bluff Top Trail connects Gualala Point to the Salal Trail and The Sea Ranch coastal access trails to the south. The campground is connected to the park's day-use area on the west side by an unpaved trail that follows the Gualala River and skirts under the highway bridge before climbing to the parking area near the visitor's center.
