From The Campground

Breckenridge Campground is a rustic campground located in Sequoia National Forest. It is the only campground on Breckenridge mountain that offers picnic tables and vault restrooms. The campground is unsuitable for trailers and does not have any water available, so visitors must pack out all trash. Campfire permits are required for campfires, barbeques, and camp stoves. Permits are available at your local Ranger Station or online at readyforwildfire.org. The campground offers 22 single sites for camping, hunting, and hiking. It is open from May to November and is free of charge. The closest towns are Bakersfield and Lake Isabella. The campground is operated by the Forest Service and is located at an elevation of 6,600 ft. Visitors can enjoy day hiking in the area.
