Silverwood Lake Campground is a great spot for families or solo campers looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Located close to the lake, the campground offers access to a variety of activities such as fishing, swimming, and boating. There is a small market on site, and the beaches are not sandy but are still great for walking. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with a grill, and there are full hookups available. Unfortunately, the campground can be quite noisy on the weekends due to the college-style party atmosphere. The RV sites are also quite small, so it may not be suitable for larger rigs. The park rangers are very helpful and friendly, and the cell service is good. The campground is a bit run down and dirty, but it is clean and well patrolled. The sites are small and close together, and the showers are pay-per-use. There is also a fire pit that was affected by a fire about 2 years ago. Despite the drawbacks, Silverwood Lake Campground is a great spot for a quick family camping trip.

From The Campground
Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area is a popular destination for camping, boating, fishing, and hiking. The park is located off of Highway 138 and Cleghorn Road, 11 miles east of I-15 heading east; or 20 miles north of San Bernardino via Highways 18 & 138. The park experiences high visitation beginning in April and continuing through October. On holidays and all summer weekends, the park may fill to capacity and, if so, will be closed. Please plan your visit accordingly.
