Mount San Jacinto State Park is a beautiful park located in Idyllwild, California. The park offers a variety of camping options including environmental campsites, family campsites, hike or bike campsites, primitive camping, and RV sites with hookups. The park also features hiking trails, horseback riding, historical/cultural sites, picnic areas, environmental learning/visitor center, exhibits and programs, guided tours, interpretive exhibits, vista point, nature and wildlife viewing, museums, family programs, and geocaching. The park is dog-friendly, with dogs allowed only in the Idyllwild and Stone Creek Campground. Dogs are not allowed in the wilderness or on the Palm Springs Tram, with exception of service animals. The park is accessible and offers parking, restrooms, and drinking water. The park also offers wilderness permits for those who want to explore the wilderness area. The park is open every day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
