This campground is an older, run down dirt park located halfway between Palm Springs and Carson City. It is a great place to stopover when traveling along Highway 395, and is only 100 miles from Death Valley National Park. The sites are narrow, uneven and not level, but they have 50 amp service and a nice view of the mountains from the back row. There is a station about a mile away in town for gas, and the nearby town of Ridgecrest has an Albertson grocery store with RV size parking. The owner is friendly and conscientious, and checkout time is 11:00am. The park offers WiFi and a large capacity dryer, but no cable TV. There are also unisex restrooms and showers, which may be off-putting to some. It is a great place for an overnight stay, and is very quiet and clean.
