Delta Shores Campground is located on a levy in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is surrounded by farmland and three rivers. The campground is accessible via Highway 12, a two lane freeway with lots of truck traffic, and Brannan Island Road, which is in poor condition and has overhanging trees. The sites are all grass and most are lower than the gravel roads, so they can be soggy and mushy after rain. The roads through the campground are raised and the steep slope into campsites make entering sites tricky. There are plenty of amenities including a pool, tennis courts, game room, mini-golf, basketball court, playground, and kayaking, paddle boat rentals. The park also has cute rental cabins, so visitors can stay. The park has a homey, back country feel and the staff are friendly. However, the entrance is very steep and the abandoned vehicles, boats, and RVs left where they sunk into the ground can be a deterrent from returning. There is a dock, but no boat launch in sight, and the sewage connections are in the back. The electrical grid can overload and cause daytime power to fade on occasions.
