Stillwater Cove Campground is a peaceful and serene spot perched just above Stillwater Cove. The campground is surrounded by redwoods and offers a short hike down to a rocky beach. The beach is not suitable for swimming due to dangerous rip tides, but visitors can find plenty of treasures such as abalone shells. The campground also offers a fish butchering station away from the campsites, a hot shower for $2 in quarters for 5 minutes, and clean bathrooms. The campground is perfect for tents and trailers, although sites are not level and the campground is not suitable for large motorhomes due to branches on the roof. There is no cell service or Wi-Fi, but Verizon customers may have coverage. The campground also offers a short trail to the old school house and a 10 mile drive to a winery and Fort Ross. Visitors can also take the trail a short walk or drive up the highway for beautiful sunsets among the cliffs. The campground is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, blue herons, and more. The camp hosts are friendly and considerate of quiet time, and the campground is a great spot for tenters and dry campers.
