Nestled in the forest along the Nacimiento River, this campground is the perfect getaway for those who are looking for a peaceful and secluded area to camp. With only 9 or 10 sites available, the campground is ideal for tents and small campers, with a 25-foot limit for vehicles. Each site is set right next to the river, providing a peaceful and calming atmosphere. There is plenty of tree cover for shade and hammocking trees, as well as a picnic table and fire pit with grill. The vault toilet is also kept clean. The campground is only 10 miles from the coast, where there are plenty of hiking trails, surfing, and starfish spotting. The drive to the campground is about 45 minutes and a 4x4 is needed for certain areas. The views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking and a small bobcat was spotted at night. With no reservations required, this campground is perfect for those looking for a peaceful and beautiful camping experience.

Nacimiento Campground is a small campground located among oak trees and near a running creek in Los Padres National Forest. The campground has 9 campsites and is suitable for tents and camping trailers no longer than 25 feet. Dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a collar with current tags at all times. The campground has picnic tables, vault toilets, and parking. The fee is $30.00 per site per night for 6-8 people per site, and one car is included with the price of the campsite. Additional vehicles are $10.00 per vehicle per night. The campground is open in spring, summer, and fall, and the busiest season is in spring and summer. The closest town for gas, food, and supplies is 16 miles west to Pacific Valley.
