Stagecoach Trails is a secluded campground located in Shelter Valley, California. It is about 20 minutes away from the small mountain town of Julian, which offers a brewery and some good food. The campground is pet-friendly and offers plenty of space for large trailers and RVs. It features a pool, basketball court, and community center, as well as outdoor corrals for equestrian campers. The park is surrounded by the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and has plenty of hiking trails that start right at the campground. There are also several pavilions, a general store and deli, and a variety of cabins for rent. The park is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of shade trees and large sites. Unfortunately, the office is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so visitors may not be able to move to a spot with better service. The park also has a western cowboy theme with decorations, and it can get a bit windy at times.

For those seeking friendly competition, the campground features a full-sized, lighted sports court offering indoor basketball, pickleball, and various yard games. Stagecoach Trails also caters to pets, with a dedicated dog park and horse arena. Families can enjoy the kiddie park and horseshoe pits, providing entertainment for all ages.
