Oh Ridge Campground is a beautiful, convenient campground located in the Inyo National Forest near June Lake. It offers easy access to purchasable firewood, bear boxes at every site, well kept bathrooms with flush toilets and sinks, wind guards at some sites, and a general store nearby. It is also close to the June Lake Beach, Shell & Mobile Gas, and showers & laundry. The sites are fairly close together, but the views are beautiful and the starry night sky is amazing. The campground is also near a lake, making it a great spot for fishing, kayaking, swimming, and paddle boarding. The campground can get cold and windy, and it can be 2-6 hours away from Yosemite depending on the time of year and where you are hiking. There can be noise issues due to inconsiderate campers, but overall it is a friendly place and quiet overnight. Make sure to bring enough blankets and layers, as well as an air mattress or padding for comfort. Mind the chipmunks, as they can be quite mischievous.
