The campground offers monthly rates for full-time campers and has the best drinking water in the June Lake Loop. The sites are a bit tight, but the campground is well-maintained and offers laundry machines and showers for paying campers. There are great fishing opportunities, boat rentals, and hiking trails. The camp host is friendly and helpful, and will use a forklift to park your camper or fifth wheel. There is a centralized fire and BBQ facility, and a $10 cash deposit is required to get the key to the bathroom and shower. The camp store and cafe are a bonus, and the views of the Sierra are spectacular.

From The Campground

Silver Lake Campground is located in Inyo National Forest and offers 63 campsites near Silver Lake. The campground has a boat launch and horse packing facilities nearby, as well as trailhead access to the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Each campsite is equipped with a bear locker, and drinking water and flush toilets are available. The campground is in an active bear area, so bear boxes are provided and must be used. Reservations can be made online or by phone.
