Camp Kernville is a small, family-friendly campground located right on the Kern River. It features full hookups, 50amp electric, and private beach access. The staff at the office are always friendly and helpful. Tent camping is allowed on the sites, and there are a few spots with river access. During the summer, rates are still very fair. WiFi is available, but no cable. The campground can be noisy with all the people having fun, and the sites are close together. Its a great spot for families and those who want to enjoy the river, and its also dog-friendly.
