This campground is a great spot for a family getaway. Located on the Kern River, it offers plenty of room for RVs of any size and no hookups. The sites are wide and long and have sandy dirt, and the mature trees provide a nice visual. Late April is a great time to visit, with temperatures in the high 70s during the day and low 50s at night. There are plenty of activities to do, including horse and buggy rides, movies, popcorn, music, BBQ, and riding down the river. Private access to the river is available for customers, though there are no sewer connections. The only downside is that when the wind picks up, there is excessive dust. The showers are old and need an upgrade, and the trash cans are overflowing and not monitored.
