This campground is located on the wild and scenic Kern River and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. It is a small campground with a variety of sites, including some along the river. The campsites have a deck with a picnic table, BBQ and fire pit, as well as electric hookups. The campground is well kept and easy to maneuver around, however, the driveway is steep and the electric box only puts out 50 amps. The campground is family owned and has strict rules about noise, music and barking dogs. They charge for everything and only accept cash or checks. There is a minimum three day reservation during non prime stays, five during the season. The campground is close to Kernville, making it easy to resupply. There are some sites with sewer hook-up, but they are in the least desired part of the campground. There is lots of wildlife in the area, including squirrels, birds, deer and skunks. There is also a stream running through the campground, however, it is usually dry.
