Lake Turlock Campground is a great destination for a last minute camping trip. It offers a rustic and shady setting with big oak trees providing plenty of shade throughout the day and night. The campgrounds are located across the street from the lake and next to the banks of the Tuolumne River. It is a relatively small area, but it is great for big groups and is rarely full of campers. The campground offers water and electric hookups, fire rings, and bathrooms and showers. It is also conveniently located only 20 minutes away from home. The best feature of the campground is the sites that run along the river, which is about 100 feet away from the campground. At night, the campground is quiet and peaceful, with the sounds of crickets and the river flowing by.
