Crystal Cove State Park is a beautiful, terraced campground located on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. With dozens of walking, hiking, and biking trails, it offers easy access to one of the best beaches in Orange County and is only 5 minutes from downtown Laguna Beach. The campground is tiered and offset, making each space feel private with plenty of room to set up chairs and a fire ring. Each site has a view of the ocean and is equipped with electric and water hookups, as well as access to public facilities. The historic section has been saved from the bulldozer and is a great place to explore. The park also offers access to the beach and wonderful tide pools full of sea life. There is a steep but short walk or bike ride to the day use beach area, but you can also just drive down there with ample parking. The campground is pricey but the beauty and tranquility certainly do help to offset that fee. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well-maintained.

From The Campground

The Moro campground, which is located on a bluff top with unparalleled ocean views, features 27 hookup sites, 30 non-hookup tent sites, both of which include 3 ADA-accessible sites each. We also feature primitive hike-in camping in our backcountry, which has 32 sites spread out across 3 areas. Although it does require a strenuous hike, it provides a peaceful refuge from the urban surroundings.
