Lakeshore Campground is a place that is in the process of being updated, and is located on the lake. It has a pool, bar, restaurant, and advertised bands, and is a popular spot for locals wanting to drink and party. The sites are close to the highway and not very pretty, but the pool and helpful staff are positives. There is a train track nearby, and the engineer blows the horn after 10pm, but it doesnt seem to run after that. The trash was not emptied while we were there, and the restrooms, showers, and laundry facility were all filthy. The best thing about the campground is the large covered patio with a great view of the lake.
