Del Valle Campground is a beautiful park located in a deep valley with stunning views and plenty of hiking trails. It is a great 3 season park, but can become quite crowded during summer and holiday weekends. The campground has about 20 hook up sites split between an upper and lower loop, with over a hundred non hookup sites. There are four loops, two for just tents or very small campers, with mostly tight back-in spurs. Two other loops have larger back-ins and some pull-throughs, 21 of which have water and sewer hook-ups but no electric. Big rigs might be able to maneuver some spots, but even our 34-foot MH was tight. Most spots have a ten-foot table and fire ring with adjustable grill. There is no camp-store or firewood available during the offseason, but a friendly lady driving a FIREWOOD FOR SALE Toyota truck will bring you two bundles of wood for $15. The park is free of campfire and charcoal grill pollution due to fire restrictions, and is very quiet at night with only nature sounds. You will see plenty of wildlife, including turkey, deer, and rabbits, and chipmunks that may even warn you of a snake. There is no phone service, internet, or cable, but it is only an hour or less drive for many Bay Area folks. There is a convenience store within the campground, and the park has a 10 PM curfew.
