This campground is located right in the middle of Yosemite National Park, offering flat and private sites, as well as a decent bathroom and dish wash tub. Bear boxes are also provided. There is a small café that serves breakfast and a tiny window store that sells some essentials. There are also a few cabins available for rent. The site is a little off-camber for those with a RTT, and is very private, surrounded by rock pillars and piles. It is a great spot to watch a meteor shower and offers cooler weather compared to Yosemite village and the valley. There is no ranger checking reservations, but there is a sign in where personal accountability is held. There is also a nice stream nearby where visitors can spot wildlife. Unfortunately, there have been reports of people smoking meth in the mens restroom, so visitors should be aware and exercise caution.
