GenieSummary

This campground is the perfect place for an outdoor adventure! Located on the banks of the Carson River, it offers stunning views of the rapids, meandering creek and waterfalls. There are plenty of huge granite boulders to climb, as well as crumbling concrete walls, rotting wood and peeling paint. The campsites are private and surrounded by lush flora and fauna, with the delightful sound of quaking aspens in the background. The campsites are equipped with DG pads, fire rings, tables and bathrooms, but most are not level. There is a cafe with delicious meals, a small store with ice and supplies, and a bar with coffee and home-made scones and cakes. The camp host is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and will assist with maneuvering in and out of the site. The campground is not suitable for leaving children unattended, and the upper campground has a long, steep walk to the restrooms and showers. There are several other campgrounds in the area near other parts of the river or lakes further up.
