This campground is a great spot for free, dispersed camping. It offers beautiful views of slot canyons and is a great place to explore. There are no bathrooms or running water, so visitors should be prepared to camp rough. The terrain is not very dog friendly, as sharp rocks can cut their paws, and the ladders and ropes are not suitable for them. It is easy to find a place to tuck away in a tent or truck at night, and there are lots of spots to choose from. The weather is great during the summer, with plenty of shade, and during the winter it stays around 70 degrees during the day. There is no guarantee of water, so visitors should check the weather before they go. The roads can be rough, so 4WD is recommended, and visitors should be aware of blind corners and sand pockets. There are some great hikes and views, but the rope/ladder trail loop is not suitable for dogs. There may be some weekend party people, and foxes may try to get into visitors things in the evening, so visitors should be prepared to fox-proof their campsite.
