What others are saying about this campground
Hurkey Creek County Park is a great destination for those looking for a peaceful camping experience surrounded by nature. With beautiful views of the mountains and a 4,000 feet altitude, this park is perfect for hikers, mountain bikers, and dog owners. There are no hookups, but there are plenty of water spigots throughout the campground. The sites are well maintained, but the parking slips and restrooms are not as well kept. The roadways through the campground are a bit tight, so be aware if you have a longer or wider rig. There is a 3 mile nature trail and the staff is very gracious and enforcing of quiet time. While the sites are not always level, there are a few that are mostly level side-to-side. Hurkey Creek is a great destination for those looking to get away and enjoy nature in a mountain setting.
