What others are saying about this campground
This KOA campground is located just off the highway, a short 3 mile drive to a local Mexican restaurant. The campground offers full hookups, showers, bathrooms, a nice swimming pool, dump station, a well-stocked store, laundry room, and a clubhouse with a cool little fireplace. Each camp spot has pads, BBQ grills, and water sources, with some also offering a little covered canopy. The sites are all gravel with low-growing bushes separating each campsite, and are very close to your neighbors with no privacy. The park is out of town and easy access from the west, with a playground, horseshoe pits, and a dog park. The grounds are well-maintained, but sparse with only some sites having picnic tables, and no trees for shade. There is no cable, but the TV reception is decent and the Wi-Fi is old and unsecured but slow. Cell service is good, with Verizon speeds reaching 25.6 down/62.7 up. The staff is friendly, and the campground is a great spot for pets and a great place for an overnight stop.

From The Campground

See that lush oasis in the desert? It's no mirage, it's the Needles KOA. At the edge of the Mojave Desert, hand-laid rock walls grace this surprising spot bursting with vibrant bougainvillea, eucalyptus, mesquite and palm trees. Historic Needles is close to the casinos of Laughlin, Nevada, and the scenic ghost town of Oatman, Arizona. There's plenty of life at this KOA, where the clubhouse (with a stone fireplace) is a popular gathering spot for potlucks, bingo, card games and holiday parties. The campground store offers a variety of salsas and marmalades. Stop by the gift shop for Route 66 items. Pool: Open all year. Max pull thru: 80 feet. Your hosts: Bill & Carla Sandberg. Please note: The rates listed do not include bed tax
