This campground is located just south of the City of Pismo Beach along Highway 1, offering easy walking distance (~1 mile) to the beach. The campground is narrow and situated directly between PCH and the railroad tracks on either side, so traffic noise can be significant. All campsites have full hookups, a fire ring, picnic table, and a faucet. However, there are no picnic tables at each site, and no soap dispenser for the hand basins. The campground is well maintained and has plenty of availability, but it can become crowded on summer weekends with large groups of tent campers. The pool is nice and clean, and the sites have grass. It is an ideal spot for senior citizens and older families, as it is generally very quiet at night, despite the highway and train noise.
