Its a nice, quiet, and peaceful campground with a lake, picnic areas, and walking trails. The sites are paved and have electric and water hookups, but no sewer. There is a dump station in the campground. The campground is close to shopping, restaurants, and a historic California mission. The campground staff is friendly and helpful. There are lots of trees for shade and bird watching. The campground is also close to a bike path to the Pacific. The sites are level and wide enough for large RVs. We would definitely stay here again! Guajome Regional Park is a peaceful and picturesque campground situated in a wooded area near a lake and surrounded by walking trails. The campground is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, and a historic California mission. It offers 33 paved sites with electric and water hookups, but no sewer. There is a dump station in the campground. The sites are level and wide enough for large RVs, and there is plenty of shade from the trees. The campground staff is friendly and helpful, and the online reservation system provides accurate descriptions and pictures of the sites. Fishing is available at the lake, but no boats or swimming are allowed. There are also plenty of birds to observe, but visitors should only feed them bird seed, oatmeal, or other similar food. Cell phone reception is good, and there is a nice clean restroom with pay showers. The park recently added sewer hookups to half of the sites, and renovations are underway on the other half. There is also a Pickleball court. Visitors should be aware that the highway nearby can be noisy during peak traffic times, and there are paw-stickies and poison oak in the area, so off-roading is not recommended.
