Hat Creek Campground is a great spot for those looking to get away from it all. Located in Hat Creek, the campground is situated along a dirt road, well graded and running parallel to the creek. With five different loops, the further you head back, the further away you are from Hwy 89. The campground is peaceful and quiet, and can accommodate small to medium size rigs. There are no hook-ups, limited cell service, and no dump station. There are flush toilets, pit toilets, and a water faucet. There is a campground host on site and a small general store, cafe, and gas station one mile away at Old Station. The trailhead for the Spatter Cones Nature Trail is across the road from the campground, and there are plenty of little fishing holes along the creek. It can be very hot in the summer, so be sure to check the weather before you go. This is the perfect spot for those looking to relax and enjoy nature, and is especially great for fishing in Hat Creek.
