This campground is an older park located in an older, but safe part of town that is in the beginnings of redevelopment. It is within walking distance from downtown, but you must be prepared to run the gauntlet of homeless creeps if you choose to go by foot. The sites are small and when someone parks with a 5th wheel, they plop their full-size pickup truck in front of it, making it difficult to navigate your rig through the park. It is a block from the BUZ line, a free trolley that runs through the town every 15 minutes 11 am to 1 am, Monday -Thursday and is air-conditioned and pet friendly. The staff is accommodating and willing to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, and other guests are friendly. The park requires a seasoned ability to maneuver, steely nerves, kind neighbors and a sense of humor. There is a Monday and Friday hiking group that you can join and enjoy your treks with them. There is a $20 digital volt meter that you can buy if your RV is not protected by a Surge Suppressor type unit. The park is for early birds only, as the sound of 2-stroke engine on a hedge cutter at 7 am is not ideal. No children are allowed during the peak winter season. The largest coach they can take is 40 and it can get quite crowded in the winter. There are quirky rules such as a padlock on bathrooms after hours for which youre given a key, dogs cant do their business on the grounds so you have to get them outta there, limited office hours with a night manager on premises, gate and bathroom codes, and cable boxes provided.
