What others are saying about this campground
Hendy Woods is a family-friendly campground located in Anderson Valley wine country. With 1,000 year old giant Pacific redwood trees, it is a stunning place to explore and camp. The campground is very crowded, but the junior ranger program and nightly events for families make it worth the stay. There is a Mom and Pop store up the road for any forgotten items, and a nearby Anderson Valley Brewery and Pennyroyal Cheese Farm for kid-friendly activities. The river near the daily access area is somewhat dried up and has little shade, but it is still a great spot to camp during a rainstorm. The campground is located off route 128, and is 45 minutes from the picturesque town of Mendocino. It is a must-have experience for those who enjoy camping in the western part of the U.S.
