Pinecrest Campground in Pinecrest, CA offers well-spaced campsites with no hook-ups. Located within a short walk of the clean Pinecrest Lake, the campground is close to coffee shops, stores, and restaurants. The restrooms are flush toilets, but there are no showers. Cell service is good, but there is no Wi-Fi. The Marina offers many water rentals such as party pontoon boats, kayak, and SUP. Fishing was scant, but there is a well-stocked nearby store. The movie at the Amphitheater on Saturday nights is a nice touch. One drawback is there are no bear boxes, so be prepared to store your food properly. Despite this, campers would recommend Pinecrest Campground to their friends, and the staff was described as wonderful.

From The Campground

Pinecrest Campground, operated by Dodge Ridge Corporation, is located one mile east of the California Highway 108 and the Pinecrest Lake Road junction within the Pinecrest Lake Recreation Area. The campground offers 200 sites for tent and RV camping, with several flush toilets and drinking water available throughout the campground. The Interagency Senior and Interagency Access Passes are honored and provide a 50 percent discount on camping fees in the campground. The campground is not fully accessible for persons with disabilities. Pinecrest Lake is nearby and offers fishing, boat ramp, picnic, swimming and trails. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone at the campsite. Valid CA fishing license is required to fish. Parking is limited within Pinecrest Campground, and extra vehicles must be parked in parking spur. The day use area is closed to the public from 10pm to 6am. Several recreational activities are available nearby, including camping, fishing, and hiking.
