Piru is one of the smaller lakes in the area, but its location to the surrounding communities makes it one of the closest lakes to get to. The campsites themselves are of ample size, with plenty of room between neighbors. The lake can be a bit choppy mid morning to afternoon, but its a great spot for fishing, boating, and swimming. There are nice bathrooms, with coin operated showers and the campground is kept pretty clean. The kids loved the disc golf course and horseshoe pit. Its a great spot for a weekend getaway, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.
