From The Campground
Conklin Park Campground is a quiet and secluded nine-unit campground located approximately eight miles northwest of Frenchman Lake. The campground is situated along a small creek and offers vault toilets, tables, fire rings, and food lockers. However, there is no water or garbage service, so visitors must pack out all trash. The campground is managed by 'Outdoors in Plumas' during the peak season and is usually managed by the Forest Service during the off-season. During the off-season, there are no services and no fees. The campground is open during the summer season and has a 14-day camping limit. Each campsite can accommodate up to six people, and double sites can accommodate up to 12 people. Two vehicles are allowed per campsite, and OHV riding is not allowed. Visitors are advised to store food, trash, and scented items appropriately to be bear aware.
