This campground is located in the Shenandoah Valley region, conveniently close to a great market, an Ace hardware store, and several restaurants. It has well-manicured lawns, two ponds with fountains, a pretty stream, and interior roads. It offers cable hookups, a pool, a cafe, a playground for kids, and a well-stocked store with an ice cream bar. Unfortunately, the park has been neglected in recent years and the landscaping needs some work, such as cutting long grass, painting, and pavement patching. The sites are asphalt, but there are grassy medians between them for privacy. The picnic tables are metal frames with plastic tops and benches. There is an additional fee for a 49er club card, which offers discounts and other perks. The only downside is that the bathrooms can be musty-smelling and there can be noise from weekend partiers.
